Engine 6 arrived and Lt. Maguire reported a 3-story fully-involved.  With the volume of fire he encountered, Lt. Maguire ordered his crew to stretch a 2.5″ hand line for the initial attack. With the large hand line and aggressive stretch into the front door, the crew darkened down the fire within minutes of arrival.  Other crews were able to get in and conduct a search of the dwelling.

Two additional hand lines were stretched and a total of 3 were in operation for this fire.  Searches of the dwelling found a dog.  All civilians were out of the building.

During this fire, Allentown transmitted box 2245 7th & Gordon for a fire reported in the 400 block of North Church Street sending Engine 11 (reserve 8), Engine 10 and Battalion 5.

Companies found an electrical box in the basement of a 2-story M/O/R burning and requested the utility company forthwith.
