Allentown Transmitted box 3366 – E. Tilghman & Kiowa at 10:37AM for 1108 East Tilghman Street for the house fire sending Engines 13, 6, 9, 14 (F.A.S.T.) Truck 2 and the 43 Battalion.
Engine 6 pulled out of the Hibernia Station and was crossing the Tilghman Street bridge and reported a header. Engine 13 reported smoke showing from their station.
Engine 13 arrived and reported a 2-story Middle-of-Row (MOR) with heavy fire from the first floor and struck the 2nd alarm.
Engine 13 stretched a hand line and quickly darkened down the fire. Truck 2 positioned in front of the house while Engine 6 took the rear. Engine 13A advised the Battalion that the fire was knocked down.
Engine 13A told the battalion he was confident he didn’t need the 2nd alarm. Engine 10, Air 1, Cars 45, 47 and 48 were on-scene along with Allentown EMS. The Fire Marshal office is investigating.
