Late Thursday morning, law enforcement was serving a arrest warrant when the man took off on foot and a foot chase ensued in Coplay, Pennsylvania. The man eventually jumped in the 39 degree raging Lehigh River off the Coplay banks. Officers seen the man go under the water and lost sight of him.
Search and Rescue companies from around the area were dispatched to the river with boats, divers and drones. Multiple boats were operating in the water searching for the perp. Boats from Northampton, Whitehall, Walnutport, Lehigh Township and Lehighton were on the scene along with the Lehigh County Drone Team.
As of 3:30PM Thursday, the search continues as the man was not located. Search teams are looking for a black male, bald, wearing a hoodie.
