Early Sunday morning, August 13, 2023, storms rolled through the Lehigh Valley. Severe lightning was associated with these storms. Northampton County 911 transmitted the box for a report of a house fire, flames shooting from the house located across from 107 Clover Hollow Road in Palmer Township.
Command had the 2nd alarm struck immediately as heavy fire involved the roof and second floor of the colonial style home.
Conditions got so bad that command evacuated the dwelling and had county signal the evac tones. Crews eventually went back inside to finish up the hot spots on the second floor. The roof was completely burned off the dwelling.
