Approximately 16:16 hours Sunday April 16, Allentown Pennsylvania Fire Radio transmitted box 2569 for 1934 Allen Street for the house fire sending Engines 10, 9, 4, 6 (F.A.S.T.), Truck 1 and Battalion 43 (Hess), Medics 1, 2, 4 and 100.
As the units went responding, the communication center signaled the companies of multiple calls being received and now people reported trapped.
Engine 10 arrived in front of the fire building and reported a working fire with heavy fire in the rear of the duplex. Truck 1 positioned behind Engine 10. Engine 10 stretched a hand line to the rear via the bakers alley. Engine 9 went to the rear alley and stretched a 1-3/4″ hand line and a 2.5″ hand line.
Engine 4 brought in a water supply from 19th and Allen to supply 10 Engine. Engine 9’s water supply came from a hydrant at Lafayette and Liberty Street.
Battalion 43 (Hess) ordered the 2nd alarm to be struck bringing in Engines 11, 14, Truck 2 and Air 1 with Chief 40 and 46.
Engine 10 stretched a total of 3 lines, one into each of the front doors and one to the roof with the truck companies. Truck 1 opened up the roof.
Searches came up negative. All occupants were accounted for.
