Based in the Allentown area of Pennsylvania, NewsWorking delivers high-octane breaking news footage for our news website and occassionally freelance for other media outlets.  From the streets of Pennsylvania’s third largest city to the tranquil suburban settings like Whitehall, we capture unimaginable adrenaline-filled scenes such as multi-alarm fires, fatal car accidents, rescues and nerve-racking emergencies!

Our camera man is equipped with a Panasonic DVX200 professional video camera, Pentax K-5II DSLR, Pentax K-X DSLR, Transcend DrivePro100 Dashcam, Uniden 396, 996 and SDS100 digital scanners – responding to emergencies that he doesn’t know what exactly he will be in for once he arrives on the scene. Many times, arriving before police and fire officials, quickly powering up his gear and capturing through his lens – an action-packed scene for his audience. Ride along with him on the fire apparatus of the Allentown Fire Department and see what it’s like from inside the fire truck racing through the city streets! He will also take you to the mean streets of Philadelphia and New York City’s five boroughs and everywhere in between.

Often these videos are not pretty, but the stories around these scenes can be very heartfelt and compassionate. Their goal is to give you an understanding of the courage and heroism that surrounds the everyday life of these brave men and women who risk their lives for us, with an understanding of how the viewer can learn from someone else’s mistake and therefore make better decisions in his or her own well being.

Bill, Fire Photographer

Bill,  our fire photographer, is experienced in fire ground operations.  He has experience as a firefighter, Assistant Fire Chief and emergency communications dispatcher.  This experience gives him the edge in shooting video of a fire scene.  And as you watch his videos and view his photos, you will see he has a unique style which is hard to beat.  You’ll also find other material on our site from area photographers as well.

On October 11, 2010, Bill received a Certificate of Appreciation award at the Allentown Fire Department’s Annual Awards Ceremony, for his contribution as the official civilian Fire Photographer for the Allentown Fire Department.  He also received the following awards:  A Certificate of Special Recognition from The Honorable Charles W. Dent, Member of U.S. Congress, a Certificate of Achievement from Patrick M. Browne, PA. State Senator, 16th District and a Certificate of Recognition from Joseph Brennan, House of Representatives 133rd District. In 2011, 3 of his videos made the top 10 videos in Firehouse.com
