On Monday at 12:30PM, Lehigh County Fire Radio transmitted the box for 8867 North Loop Road in Washington Township for a structure fire. Command arrived and signaled a working fire. Heavy fire was blowing out the rear of the wood shop.
The shop was connected to a large garage and a dwelling. Command wanted to protect the dwelling due to the high winds. He ordered the 2nd alarm struck and wanted 5 additional tankers to the scene for water supply.
The fire took a couple of hours to bring under control. At one point, the evac tones were sounded to get all the firefighters out of the building. At the end of it, the wood shop and large garage were destroyed by fire. The dwelling was saved.
