Saturday morning around 9:15AM Allentown transmitted box 2322 (4th & Washington) for 822 North 4th Street on a house fire sending Engines 6, 9, 4, 13 (F.A.S.T.), Truck 2 (Truck 1) and Battalion 3 (Atiyeh).
Battlion 3 arrived and reported smoke showing from the rear of the 3-story middle-of-row (MOR) and signaled a working fire.
Engine 9 arrived first-due and stretched one hand line to the second floor of the fire building. Truck 2 set-up in the front and flew the bucket to the 2nd and 3rd floors to take out the windows to ventilate the smoke and heat to make conditions better for the interior crews.
Interior firefighters found a mattress burning and extinguished the fire quickly. Searches came up negative.
Battalion Chief Atiyeh held the box to the 1st alarm assignment.
The BONUS video is from earlier in the week. Allentown box 2533 for 1327 Chew Street on a building fire. On arrival, fire was showing from a 3rd floor window on the Madison Street side of a 4-story apartment building. Two lines were stretched and the room and contents quickly knocked down.
