Late Wednesday morning, Whitehall PD, Whitehall Fire and Allentown EMS were dispatched to Fullerton Avenue and Sumner Avenue for a car crash with ejection.
Whitehall PD car 818 (Stephens) arrived and found a four vehicle accident with one patient on the side of the road with cement debris all over the roadway. With the accident occurring on the south side of the intersection that is the city limits with Whitehall the officer requested Allentown to respond.
Allentown medics transported the male. It’s unknown if he was in the pick-up or riding in the bed or even if he was ejected. It appears the pick-up truck was pulling out of Sumner Avenue onto Fullerton Avenue when it was struck by a car driving southbound into Allentown. Both the truck and the car traveled into the northbound lanes where the car struck a northbound car. The white SUV stopped short of hitting the pick-up truck.
Allentown police are investigating the accident. The roadway was closed in both directions until the scene was cleaned up.
