Saturday afternoon Allentown, Pennsylvania Fire Dispatch transmitted box 3566 for a house fire located at 2207 Union Boulevard. At the same time, Bethlehem City transmitted a box for a house fire at Club Avenue and Union Boulevard.
Allentown Engine 13 arrived and reported a working fire in a 1-1/2 story duplex. Bethlehem Engine 6 arrived and went to work with Allentown. Bethlehem’s Ladder 2 positioned in a parking lot east of the fire building while Allentown Ladder 2 positioned in front of the fire building. Bethlehem Engine 9 laid a supply line to their ladder tower. Two supply lines were secured at Van Buren and Union to supply Engine 13 and Allentown’s Tower Ladder.
Multiple lines were stretched for the attic fire. Strong winds pushed the fire to the attached exposure and burned through the roof. Both Allentown and Bethlehem had a full box assignment working the fire. The fire is a block from the city limits of both cities.
