At 17:55 Sunday March 1st, 2026, Lehigh County transmitted the box for 900 Mickley Road building V apartment V1 for the apartment fire sending Engines 37, 36, 39, Squrt 38, Truck 36, Ladder 2 and Medic 62 under the command of Chief 35 (Bilder).
Deputy 35 (Shambo) arrived and reported heavy smoke pushing from the apartment and signaled a working fire. Chief 35 arrived and transmitted the 2nd alarm. Engine 37 stretched one hand line to the apartment and had water on the fire shortly after arrival. Other companies searched and checked for extension. Searches were all negative and the fire was held to the original fire apartment. All the occupants of the building were safely evacuated and the alarms were sounding.
It appears the fire started in the kitchen of the apartment unit.
