Late Monday evening, Lehigh County 9-1-1 transmitted the rescue box for 4405 Main Street in the Egypt section of Whitehall for the auto extrication sending Rescue Engine 5 (LC4041), Engine 4, Rescue 8 (LC3641), Medic 62 and the police.
The female driver of the SUV hit a utility pole on the drivers side and couldn’t get out. She had minor injuries.
Rescue Engine 5 (LC4041) arrived and used the jaws of life to take the driver door off to extricate the driver.
Rescue 8 (LC3641) and Engine 4 also assisted at the scene. The Whitehall police are investigating.
