Northampton firefighters responded to the Dollar General 2016 Main Street for a structural fire at 06:44AM Friday morning.
Engine 42 arrived and stretched a hand line for a fire on the exterior of the building. The fire was located on the Main Street side which is the rear of the store. The front of the store faces the parking lot. Crews made a quick hit of the fire and gained access to the interior of the store.
The stores interior was damaged along with the rear exterior wall. Multiple companies from surrounding communities were called to fight the fire.
