It all started around 11:00AM Monday morning (March 04, 2024) when Lehigh County received multiple calls for a house fire in the area of Carolina Avenue and Kansas Avenue. Transmitting the box for 410 Carolina Avenue turning out Station 36, Engines 37, 38, 39 and Medic 62. FM35 went responding and seen a header at the municipal building about 4 miles north of the the address of fire.
Fire dispatch advised FM35 (Bilder) that two homes were now reported to be on fire. With that information he special-called Catasauqua Ladder 2 and Greenawalds Rescue 11 for the F.A.S.T. company.
On arrival, crews found three homes involved in the rear off of Kansas and in the front, 412 Carolina Avenue with fire showing.
Multiple hand lines were in operation. Ladder 2 set-up in the front on Carolina and went to the roof to preform ventilation. Whitehall’s Tower 6 was in front of 414 Carolina but was never placed in-service.
