At 11:36 Sunday, Lehigh County started receiving multiple calls for a fire in an apartment building. The box was struck for 1055 Cetronia Road in Upper Macungie Township sending stations 25, 56, 8 and Medic 62.
Enroute, a chief officer spotted smoke in the distance and had the second alarm struck. A paramedic on Medic 62 arrived moments later and reported fire on the second floor and roof. The third alarm was transmitted shortly after arrival as the fire rapidly extended horizontally in the cockloft and traveled the full length of the building. High winds helped fuel the fire.
Five ladders were in operation with elevated master streams and multiple large hand lines were in-service. It appears all the occupants were evacuated before the arrival of the fire department.
