Tuesday evening, Lehigh County 9-1-1 transmitted a rescue box to Main and Reliance Streets in the Egypt section of Whitehall Township for an auto extrication.
Engine 4 and Rescue 5 were dispatched. A car was T-boned at the intersection after pulling out onto Main Street and struck by a Jeep Wrangler. The female driver of the car had to be extricated.
Rescue 5 (LC4041) used the spreaders to take the door off the car to free the driver. Engine 4 (LC3911) stretched a hand line for safety while the rescue crew went to work.
The female was transported to the hospital by Cetronia EMS. Whitehall Police Department is investigating the accident.
