Tuesday morning January 5th, Allentown Fire Radio transmitted box 5154 for 842 Saint John Street for a house fire sending Engines 11, 14, 4, 9, 8, Truck 2 (Ladder 3) and Battalion 4 (Hess).
Engine 11 rolls up on the address reporting heavy fire from the 1st floor front of a 2.5 story duplex and stretches one hand line and quickly darkens down the fire. A working fire signal was transmitted. One victim was transported by AEMS to a local hospital with unknown injuries from the fire. The person was out of the house prior to the arrival of the fire department. A second hand line was stretched for overhaul. Battalion Chief 4 held the fire to an all hands 1st alarm assignment.
