Approximately 7:00PM Tuesday evening, a Cetronia ambulance called in a shooting at the West Catasauqua playground on Pine Street in Whitehall Township, Lehigh County.
Gunshots rang out in the lower parking lot near the basketball courts. Witnesses called 911 reporting a silver or gray Toyota fled the scene west towards MacArthur Road.
Cetronia was reporting at least two people shot, a male and female. The male was shot multiple times in the chest. One of the victims made it up to the ambulance station which is located directly across the street from the playground. Police had crime scene tape up at the ambulance station and in the lower parking lot around a dark colored SUV.
Both victims were rushed to a nearby trauma center where one or both victims died from their injuries. The Lehigh County Coroners office was notified.
Police have a suspect in custody.
