At 12:26 Monday September 5, 2022 Allentown transmitted box 4548 for 781 Mohawk Street for a house fire sending Engines 14, 9, 11, 6 (F.A.S.T.), Truck 2 and Battalion 4 (Hess).
Battalion 4 ordered Engine 11 to the rear and Engine 14 to the front. Engine 14 arrived and signaled a working fire to the rear of the row involving at least 3 homes. Engine 11 arrived to the rear and found power lines down to 3 or 4 homes. Chief Hess requested PPL utilities respond forthwith. Heavy fire was consuming at least 5 homes by now. Companies lead off with large lines and blitz lines.
The second alarm was transmitted on arrival sending in Engines 10, 4 and the Air 1. Minutes later, the third alarm was transmitted sending in Engine 13. Additionally, Hess special-called one engine from mutual-aid to move up to the fire scene.
