At 22:30 Tuesday evening, Lehigh County transmitted the box for 2624 Levans Road in North Whitehall Township. The actual house that was on fire was located next door to the dispatch address at 2616 Levans Road.
The fire dispatcher advised Chief 16 that the center was receiving multiple calls for a house fire.
The Medic unit arrived first and reported fire and smoke showing and with that information, the Chief had the 2nd alarm struck.
Whitehall Engine 4 (LC 3912) was dispatched first-due on the second alarm and arrived as the first-due pumper. Their crew stretched a hand line to the rear of the 2.5 story duplex for heavy fire conditions. A total of 4 lines were stretched off the Whitehall engine.
A second line was stretched into the front door to extinguish fire that was in the interior rear of the dwelling.
A total of 2 adults and 4 children were displaced from the fire and Red Cross was called to assist the family.
