Newsworking gathered 3 news stories early Saturday morning involving a crash, fire and stabbing. The first video is from Upper Saucon Township when a drunk driver smashed his Chevy pick-up truck into a wall, spun and then split a utility pole in half and then coming to a rest feet from a house.
The driver was hand cuffed and placed under arrest. He was not injured.
The second call came in as we were clearing the accident call.
Allentown box 2266 was transmitted early Saturday morning for 828 Allen Street for the house fire. Companies arrived to nothing showing. After investigating, firefighters found a chair burning in the basement of one of the rowhomes. The homeowner stated she had a dog still inside. Moments later, a firefighter could be seen bringing out a small dog and reuniting it with the owner.
No one was injured in the blaze. Engines 4, 9, 6, 10, Truck 2 and BN 43 responded on the box.
The third call came in as we were clearing the house fire in Allentown. Bethlehem Police, Fire and EMS responded to 338 Arch Street for a stabbing early Saturday morning. EMS transported one male to the trauma center as a trauma alert for 3 stab wounds to the abdomen.
