Just before 1:00Am Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police were in pursuit of a Chevy on Route 22 eastbound when the car exited the highway on the ramp to go south on Airport Road.
It appears the car fish-tailed and the driver side rear hit the concrete jersey barrier on the ramp. The car came to a stop at the traffic light at Airport Road and Catsauqua Road. Police summoned for an ambulance and fire department forthwith. EMS 75 and Han-Le-Co Fire 33 were dispatched. The paramedics rushed the 20-year-old to a local trauma center with life threatening injuries to the head that doesn’t appear to be consistent with injuries you would sustain a high-speed crash.
We will have more details as the become available.
